The Transition from any front line position to Management is a roadway of ‘Street signs’ offering direction and instruction at the same time. It is the interpretation of these signs that can be confusing if not observed, studied or practised correctly that will impact on the ‘choices’ that are made. Change is like a revolving door. You have to know when to ‘enter and when to exit’.
Understanding the stages of transition is about guiding people through a custom designed process that achieves and improves productivity, procedures and outcomes. This is Change. Organisational Change requires us to plan for and address the human, process and technological objectives to support the implementation of the Vision. There needs to be a clear vision. Otherwise why change. If there is no change then there is no need for any type of transition.
Personal and Organisational Change Management is the necessary process for continuous improvement. Without it…is the enemy. Inertia.
Why do we do what we do today? If we change what we do today…what will tomorrow look like? Where are we going? Forget about WE…Where am I going?
- Figure out what is actually changing for you
- Decide what is really ending for you
- Identify what is continuing for you. It's all about You.
